phone overheating

We've implemented several controls to help with this:
1) Hedy can now consistently run in the background on Android and iOS. Turning off the screen helps significantly with keeping the device cooler.
2) We added the ability to enable slower transcription, which reduces the energy usage by over 50%. This is in the app settings.
3) We recommend not enabling the large model if the device overheats.

So far I've only used Hedy inside climate-controlled buildings and not (yet) outdoors. My phone does get very warm.
Just a thought… maybe we should define what is 'overheating' and what is tolerable? Or to put it in another way: my phone may feel warm, but how is that actually a problem?
I have a Pixel 8 Pro in a protective case (which would be trapping heat), and the Pixel series is known for running hot. In a few rare and extreme scenarios (e.g. recording 4k video on a sunny 35°C day), my phone has given a warning about overheating. Otherwise, it gets warm and I don't care.
If the phone is working fine and not throttling down to reduce heat, is there really an issue? Maybe it'll feel uncomfortably warm in the pocket, or if it happens regularly, theoretically it may affect the battery's health.
